I'm Elena. I've been photographing people for twelve years — first in London, now in Berlin. I studied fine art before picking up a camera, and I think that still shows in my work.
I don't do big flashes and fake smiles. I work with available light, quiet conversation, and the belief that the best portrait is the one where you forgot you were being photographed.
